Fifth St., Waynesboro, Pa., died Monday, Aug. 7, 2006, at the nursing home. Born Nov. 28, 1905, in Fox Hill, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John H. and Laura A. Shoemaker Utz. She attended school in Waynesboro. She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin F. Summers, in 1962. They were married April 15, 1922. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waynesboro and attended Augsburg Bible Class. She is survived by one son, Lloyd P. Summers of Waynesboro; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; nieces; and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Eugene F. Summers; three sisters, Minnie Blubaugh, Nellie Miller and Marie Fleagle; two brothers, John Utz and Paul Utz; and one grandson.
