Text: Charles W. Cashman, 78, Virginia Beach, VA, formerly of Waynesboro, died Monday morning in Virginia Beach, VA,General Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born in Cumberland County, a son of the late George P. and Elizabeth Keeny Cashman. He lived in Waynesboro for approximately 20 years after he came here with his family at the age of six. He worked for a time in the clothing store of the late Samuel Dreyfuss, and subsequently was employed at the Norfolk, VA Navy Yard. He is survived by two sons and three daughters, Charles Cashman, Jr., Virginia Beach; Delbert Lee Cashman, Norfolk, Mrs. Florence Volvia, Virginia Beach; Mrs. Annabelle Shaw, Norfolk and Mrs.Mabel Brown, English Ind.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother and a sister, Harvey I. Cashman Hearthstone; Mrs. Edith Stocksdale, Hagerstown, and Mrs. Armatha Bock, 223 Philadelphia Ave. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 3 PM in Norfolk. Burial will be made there.
