Text: December 4, 2008 Bradford County Telegraph - Florida Thomas Dodd RAIFORD-Thomas Allen Dodd, 86, of Raiford died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008 at Winsor Manor Care Center in Starke following an extended illness. Born in Bowie, Maryland, Mr. Dodd lived most of his life in Palmetto, moving to Raiford in 2007. Mr. Dodd was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Dodd and Mary Ellen Utz Dodd. He owned and operated a sewing machine shop before his retirement. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Raiford. Survivors include his wife of 22 years Margaret Singletary Dodd; three daughters, Yvonne Jerman of Maryland, Joyce Cox Crawford of Raiford and Janet Reynolds of Palm Coast; two sons, Roy and Gary Singletary, both of Raiford; a brother, Lewis Dodd of Bowie, Maryland; two sisters, Virginia Schauron of California and Ester Frayer of New York; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 2, in Fellowship Baptist Church of Raiford with the Rev. Harold Hudson officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Ocala, with the Rev. John Downing officiating. Arrangements were under the care of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler.

Mrs. Edith M. Dodd Mrs. Edith M. Dodd, 70, 1236 S. E. 17thSt., died Wednesday in North Florida Regional Hospital in Gainesville after an extended illness. She was born in Detroit and had been a resident of Ocala since 1971, coming here from Rockville, MD Mrs. Dodd was a homemaker and member of College Road Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Thomas . Dodd of Ocala; two daughters Yvonne D. Jerman of Rockville, MD, Eva M. Thornton of Miami; three sisters, Norine Hinson of Ocala, Elaine Holmes of Tampa, Lavern Stroup of Cohasset, Minn; a brother, Russell Powers of Witchita Falls, Texas; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
