Retired Cleric, Wife to Mark Anniversary The Rev. and Mrs. George Amos McDaniel have issued invitations to relatives and friends from a wide area to a reception at their home in Denton Saturday from 3 to 5 and from 7 to 9 pm., in celebration of their fiftieth wedding anniversary. They were married at the home of the bride's parents, Elder and Mrs. Samuel J. Utz, in New Market, MD. Of the wedding party, William Fleckenstein, of Easton, is the only attendant of the wedding expected at the celebration. The Rev. and Mrs. McDaniel will be assisted in receiving by several of their children including S. Alton McDaniel, a telephone official of Long Island, N. Y.; G. Arthur McDaniel, publisher and legislator, of Federalsburg the Rev. William A. McDaniel, of Milton, Del., and Mrs. Amos Crouse, of Elkton. Mr. and Mrs. McDaniel have lived in three states and the District of Columbia, including Denton, MD; Washington, D.C.; Richmond, VA, and Arcadia and Miami, FL. Mr. McDaniel was a traveling salesman for the Gulf Oil Corporation for 29 years. For 30 years he served as a minister of the Church of the Brethren at Richmond and Hopewell, VA and at Arcadia and Miami, FL.
