She grew up in Marcus and attended school there until 1928 when she moved with her parents to Dell Rapids. She married John P. Geraets February 11, 1936, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dell Rapids. They farmed near Dell Rapids until 1972 when they retired and moved into Dell Rapids. She was a member of St. Mary's Church and Altar Society. Johanna, 81, died Sunday, March 27, 1994, at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls. Survivors include her husband, John, of Dell rapids; a son, Donald and his wife Rosetta of Mason City, Iowa; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. |
