Obituary from Journal & Courier, Lafayette, Indiana PUBLISHED: 04-21-06 Edna L. Ade, 89 Edna L. Halsema Ade, 89, of Greenville, Ohio, formerly of Lafayette, died at 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville. Born July 4, 1916, to the late Cornelius J. and Minnie E. Johnson Halsema in Montmorenci, she was a graduate of Montmorenci High School and lived in the Lafayette area until moving to Ohio in 1993. She married Floyd W. Ade on Dec. 27, 1937 in Lafayette and he preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 1971. Mrs. Ade was a homemaker and a seamstress. Surviving is a son, Richard Ade (wife: Nancy) of Greenville. Friends may call 2 hours prior to 11 a.m. service Monday, April 24, 2006, at Hippensteel Funeral Home, Pastor Chris Cobb officiating. Interment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. 3 grandchildren, Kim (Ade) Shell, Kelly Lennen and Mike Ade, and 7 great-grandchildren also survive. Memorials to Bible Fellowship Church, 7757 Greenville/Selina Rd., Greenville, OH 45331. Hippensteel Funeral Home entrusted with care. |
