Florida Times-Union, The (Jacksonville, FL) - April 27, 2007 Deceased Name: Catherine Melanie Blajian Halsema FL United States BLAJIAN Catherine Melanie (Halsema) Blajian went to Heaven on April 25, 2007 at the age of 93 in Jacksonville, FL. Born May 28, 1913 in Jacksonville, FL, where she lived all her life. Her love, friendship, and inspiration was felt by all those around her throughout her life. She was a long time member of Assumption Catholic Church and St. Michael's Circle. She selflessly devoted much love and time to anyone in need. She will be greatly missed by all those whose life was touched by her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harry. She is survived by her three children, Stephen (Patricia), Michael (Marti), and Melanie; eight grandchildren, Angie, Gregory, Richard (Lauren), Jennifer (Sean), Mary, Matthew, Sara and Margaret; six great grandchildren, Derrick, Amanda, Ryan, Phillip, Kylie, Hayden and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Assumption Catholic Church on Monday, April 30, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Sunday with a Rosary at 6:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Ave. Donations may be made to the Visitation Monastery, 2300 Spring Hill Ave., Mobile, AL 36607.
