From Appleton Post Crescent, Appleton Wisconsin: February 28, 1952 Page 12 Mr. and Mrs Jesse Buttleman and son Edward Buttleman returned Thursday from Michigan where they were called by the death of his father. Muskegon Chronicle 28 January 1966 Jesse Buttleman Montague-Jesse R Buttleman, 73, formerly of RR 1, Montague, died at the Park hospital in Mason City, iowa, Thursday, following surgery on Monday. Born in claybanks township Jan 6, 1893, he was educated at the Green School. He attended Whitehall High School and was active in the Claybanks Methodist Church and its Standard Bearers Society. He went as a young man to live in Clarence, Ia. A world War I veteran who served in France and Germany, Mr Buttleman was a member of teh VFW, the American Legion, the Odd Fellows and teh Zion Lutheran Church. Mr Buttleman was married to Gladys Makin Sept 17, 1926 at Albert Lee Minn. They had made their home at Clear Lake IA, where he was chief of police for more than a decade. He was a justice of peace until his recent illness. He leaves his widow; four sons, Dwain of Lowden IA, Dale of Daytona Beach FL, George of St Paul MN and Edward of Sacramento CA; two sisters, Mrs Malbe Kroll and Mrs Garrit Westfield, both of Montague; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be 2:30 pm Monday from the Zion Lutheran Church in clear Lake with arrangements by the Wilcox Funeral Home. |
